You can use the sensitivity, mask scale, and grain matching controls to optimize results.

Why can some watermarks be harder to remove?

For these stamps, the tool must synthesize new background content via Poisson inpainting rather than deblending. Does video watermark removal preserve original audio tracks?

Yes. In both the Python FFmpeg engine and the client-side WebCodecs MP4-Muxer engine, audio streams are copied directly without re-encoding, preserving 100% of the original audio quality and synchronization.

Does watermark removal reduce overall image or video quality?

No. Processing is restricted exclusively to the localized mask coordinates of the watermark. The rest of the image or video frames remain bit-identical to your source file.

Privacy, Security & Storage
Is processing done locally on my computer?

For client-side image inpainting and in-browser GPU video mode, processing occurs 100% locally in your browser's memory. No file data leaves your device. If you choose the Python backend engine, media is sent to your local/private server for processing and purged automatically upon job completion.

Are my uploaded files permanently stored?

No. Watermark Eraser does not maintain a persistent media database. Temporary files created during Python backend video rendering are automatically purged upon download or via routine automated cleanup routines.

Does Watermark Eraser require an account or subscription?
